My biggest surprise on the first day of the 26th Bluesfest @ Gaildorf DE on 2019-07-05 was Guy King and his band. His style, influenced by jazz, soul and blues impressed me deeply. I had never heard his name before but now he is on heavy rotation.
Guy King was born on October 3, 1977 in Israel now living in Chicago.
He was accompanied by Cedric Le Geff (keys) , Kris Jefferson (b), Fabrice Bessouat (dr), Alessandro De Bonaventura (tr) and Luca Di Gianmarko (sax).
