Manfred Mann's Earth Band was founded by Manfred Mann (born Manfred Sepse Lubowitz, 21 October 1940 in Johannesburg, in 1971 as sucessor of the band Manfred Mann. Manfred Man's Earth Band had many hits in the 70ies and 80ies,  mostly excellent cover versions like Bruce Springsteen's "For You", "Blinded by the Light" and "Spirit in the Night", Bob Dylan's "Mighty Quinn", "Father of Day, Father of Night", "For You" and many many more. All these songs are unique, excellent, totally different versions of songs of other artists...

Mike + The Mechanics was formed as a  side project of Mike Rutherford, the bassist/guitarist and one of the founding members of the superband Genesis. Kilburn Alley Blues Band @ Haus Windheim 2, Petershagen, DE on 2019-04-13. This amazing band is a Chicago Blues and Electric Blues Band  based in Champaign, Illinois. This band was Mike Ledbetter's springboard from an opera to a blues singer. Unfortumately Mike Ledbetter died tragically at the age or 33 years in 2019. For me one of the most powerful shows I ever saw in my life. Manu Lanvin & The Devil Blues, Blues Top Act from France, stormed the stage at BBQ & Blues Fest, Bremerhaven DE on 2019-04-06. The crowd was totally overwhelmed by the powerful voice and the excellent guitar playing of Manu Lanvin. The Devil Blues are Nico Bellanger (b) and Jimmy Montout (dr). Ray Wilson and his band in smaller lineup at Alter Schlachthof, Bremen DE on 2019-04-04. He was accompanied by his brother Stevie Wilson (voc, g), Marcin Kajper (b, sax fl), Kool Lyczek (key) and Mario Koszel (dr). Unfortunately he covers mostly Genesis songs.
