Mark Hummel + Stackhouse

Mark Hummel visited Meisenfrei, Bremen DE on 2018-10-22 to present his new brilliant CD “Harpbreaker” which was released 0n 2018-09-18.



He was born December 15, 1955, in New Haven, Connecticut and is a Grammy Blues Music Award winning American blues harmonica player, vocalist, songwriter, and long-time bandleader of The Blues Survivors. Since 1991, Hummel has produced the Blues Harmonica Blowout tour, of which he is also a featured performer.  Although he is typically identified as performing West Coast blues, Hummel is also proficient in Delta blues, Chicago blues, swing and jazz styles (Wikipedia).

Mark Hummel was accompanied by the great and excellently harmonizing Dutch blues band “Stackhouse”. Band members are the amazing Machiel Meijers (voc/harp), Willem van Dullemen (g/voc), Emiel van Pelt (g), Paolo de Stigter (dr) and André Prins (b).

    Hi Wolfgang …Once again some great photos here !! To be complete we had André Prins on bass and Paolo de Stigter on drums with us in Bremen Unfortunately we lost our former rhythm section in the last year due to medical problems ! Thanks again, had a great time in Bremen !! Stay safe !! Willem !
