Monster Mike Welch and Mike Ledbetter presented their phenomenal debut album “Right Place, Right Time” – which has been released in 2017 on Delta Groove Records as “Welch Ledbetter Connection” – at Haus Windheim 2, Petershagen DE on 2018-04-21.

Monster Mike Welch has already released 6 albums when he joined Boston-based Sugar Ray & The Bluetones. He has performed with many well-known blues musicians like Duke Robillard, Nick Moss, Johnny Winter, The Mannish Boys, Sugaray Rayford, Jimmy Vaughn and played on the critically acclaimed “Fifty Shades Of Blues” by Anthony Geraci & The Boston Blues All Stars. He was nominated for the Blues Music Awards in 2016 and 2017 for Instrumentalist Guitar.

Mike Ledbetter, born in Chicago,  started his career at the Chicago Opera House until he joined Nick Moss Band as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist.

In June 2016 they met at the Chicago Blues Festival and it was very soon clear that they had to form an excellent team to perform classical blues songs. Their album “Right Place, Right Time”

The Mikes received multiple nominations including Album of the Year and Traditional Blues Album (for “Right Place, Right Time”), Band of the Year, B.B. King Entertainer of the Year (Mike Ledbetter), Contemporary Blues Male Artist (Mike Ledbetter), Instrumentalist-Guitar (Mike Welch) and Instrumentalist-Vocals (Mike Ledbetter).

In Petershagen the 2 Mikes were accompanied by Mig Toquereau (b), Damien Cornelis (keys) and Fabrice Bessouat (dr) all of them excellent musicians.
