Overwhelming show of the 5 Blues Giants at the Downtown Blues Club, Hamburg DE on 2017-02-01. The Blues Giants are Sugaray Rayford (voc), Mike Zito (g, voc), Albert Castiglia (g, voc),Willie J. Campbell (b) and Jimi Bott (dr).

Sugaray Rayford,  born February 13, 1969, one of the lead vocalists for the Mannish Boys. They won the Blues Music Award in 2013 with their CD “Double Dynamite” as Best Traditional Blues Album.  His solo CD “Blind Alley” which was critically acclaimed was released in 2010. His second solo CD “Dangerous” was released in 2013 and climbed on # 2 Blues Debut Chart, #6 on the Roots Music Chart and #2 on The Living Blues Chart. He is nominated for the Blues Music Award 2017 in 3 categories.

Blues Music Award winner Mike Zito was born November 19, 1970 and raised in St. Louis, MO. His CD “Greyhound” was nominated for the Blues Music Award 2011. In 2009 Mike Zito and Cyril Neville won the Blues Music award for “Song of the Year” for “Pearl River” . His latest CD “Make Blues Not War” climbed on # 1 of the  Blues Billboard Charts within only a couple of days. He is nominated for the Blues Music Award 2017 in  2 categories.

Albert Castiglia (born August 12, 1969 in New York City) is an American blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. Discovered singing by Junior Wells in 1996, he joined his touring band and worked as Wells’ lead guitarist until the latter’s death in 1998. He is now living in Florida and is touring through the world. He published several CDs, 2016 “Big Dog”, combining all influences of modern day blues with a traditional core. He is nominated for the Blues Music Award 2017 in 2 categories. He is also nominated for the Blues Music Award 2017 in 2 categories.

Willie J Campbell who is nominated for the Blues Music Award 2017 for best bass player has had a fantastic career. Willie spent several years with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and has been the bass player for the Mannish Boys for the past 5+ years.

Jimi Bott spent nearly three decades touring the world with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Mannish Boys, Rod Piazza, and Mark Hummel. He has nearly 70 recordings to his credit (including William Clarke, Billy Boy Arnold, and James Harman). His latest with The Mannish Boys earned three 2011 Blues Music Award Nominations. Jimi was winner of the Blues Music Award in 2015 and nominated again for the Blues Music Award 2017.
